Narayani river has crossed the danger level, residents of coastal areas have been asked to be on high alert

Kathmandu. As the water level in the Narayani River and its tributaries has risen above the danger level, there is a high risk of flooding and inundation in the coastal areas. The Secretariat of the Water and Energy Commission, the Flood Forecasting Division of the Hydrology and Water Resources Research Center has issued a special bulletin and urged caution.
According to the department, while the danger level in Narayani river is considered to be 9.0 meters, currently the water level has reached about 11.0 meters and it is still increasing. At Devghat Flood Measuring Center, it is estimated that the water level will rise to a maximum of 13.0 meters around 11 pm today.
