More than 300,000 security personnel mobilized for the House of Representatives elections

Kathmandu. More than 300,000 security personnel have been mobilized for the forthcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21. According to the decision of the Election Security and Risk Management Committee, the government has mobilized 341 thousand 111 security personnel including regular policemen with the aim of conducting voting in a clean, free and fair and fearless environment.
79 thousand 727 people from Nepal Army, 34 thousand 576 from Armed Police Force, 75 thousand 797 from Nepal Police, 1 thousand 921 from National Investigation and 149 thousand 90 from Election Police have been mobilized.
After regular traffic policemen were deployed outside the valley for election security, there was some difficulty in traffic management at various intersections of the capital. To control the increasing traffic jams, the election police are now also deployed in road traffic management.
