Ministry's directive to vacate trade union buildings built on government land within three days
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Federal Affairs and General Administration has instructed to vacate the buildings and structures of civil servants' trade unions and organizations that are being built and used on government land within three days.
According to the ministry, after the government of Nepal canceled the provisions related to trade unions of civil servants, the legal basis of the buildings and other structures constructed by some organizations that were national level trade unions using government-owned land has ended. Along with this, the decision of the Council of Ministers and the registration of related trade unions from the Department of Labor and Occupational Safety has been cancelled.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry, the relevant organizations have to vacate the building and other structures completely within three days from the date of publication of the notification and submit the responsibility of the property and the keys of the building to the Internal Management Division of the Ministry.
