Maoist meeting to approve party unity decision
Kathmandu. CPN-Maoist Central Convention Organizing Committee meeting is being held today. The Maoists have called a meeting to approve the unity among the nine left parties which is to be held tomorrow. According to the Maoist Central Office, the meeting is scheduled to be held at Pragya Bhawan Kamaladi at 1 PM.
Within the party, there is dissatisfaction with the unity of the nine left parties, including the CPN United Socialist Party. Leader Janardan Sharma has made it clear that he will not participate in the unity.
In a meeting with President Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" on Monday, leader Janardan Sharma announced the decision to end 40 years of cooperation with Prachanda and said that he will now proceed in his own way. On the other hand, leaders including Jhalnath Khanal and Ghanshyam Bhusal in the United Socialist Party have expressed their disagreement towards unity.
