The highway under construction from Harichok to Yamdi of Pokhara Metropolitan City in Kaski section has now reached the final stage of upgrading.

The work of this section is almost completed now. Engineer Kiran Subedi of Parbat informed that 90 percent of the work on this section has been completed. According to him, after the completion of the construction of this section, passengers will be able to easily travel from Pokhara to the western region via Baglung and return. We are ready to serve the public after completing the main work of Harichok-Yamdi section.

The black paper work is over and we are in the finishing stage. Engineer Subedi said. According to him, only a few works of railings, barriers and road safety are left on the road. According to Engineer Subedi, only 10 percent work is left in this section.

The contract for this section was signed on 14th July 2079. There was a contract with Motidan Construction Services Pvt Ltd to complete the work in two years. However, the work was interrupted due to the delay of the construction company and technical problems including the transfer of electricity and water pipes in the construction area.

The deadline was extended for the first time on 14th July 2081 and for the second time until 5th Chait 2081 after the work could not be completed within the stipulated time. Engineer Subedi said that the deadline for the third addition of this section is till the end of Baisakh 2083.
