Lumbini won the title of NPL-2 after defeating Sudu Paschim

Kathmandu. Lumbini Lions won the title by defeating Sudurpaschim Royals in the final of Nepal Premier League NPL season 2. Lumbini won the title by defeating Sudurpaschim by 6 wickets in the final match on Saturday. Opener Dinesh Adhikari contributed the highest score of 42 runs in Lumbini's win. He batted aggressively in 13 balls.

Darcy Short 13, skipper Rohit Paudel 18 and Sandeep Zora were out for runs. Niroshan Dikwela remained unbeaten on 11 and Dilip Nath on one run. In bowling, Hemant Dhami of Far West took two wickets, Abhinas Bohra and captain Dipendra Singh Airi took one wicket each. Before that, the Far West Royals, who won the toss and batted first, were bundled out for 85 runs in 19 overs.

For Sudurpaschim, opener Isaan Pandey scored the highest 33 runs. Vinod Bhandari 0, Sheldon Jackson 1, Arif Sheikh 6, Captain Dipendrasingh Airy 13, Deepak Bohra 0, Punit Mehra 0, Abhinas Bohra 1, Harmeet Singh 10 and Scott Kugeilen were dismissed for 10 runs. Hemant Dhami remained unbeaten on 7 runs. Lumbini captain Rohit Poudel completed the hat-trick in Bling. Rohit took wickets in the fourth, fifth and sixth balls of the 11th over. Sher Mall and Reuven Trumpelman took 3 and 3 and Tilak Bhandari took one wicket.
