Last Monday of July: Devotees flock to Sundari Jal to offer water to Pashupati
Kathmandu. According to the solar month, thousands of devotees have reached Sundari Jal to offer water to Lord Shri Pashupatinath on the last Monday of July. Every year on the Monday of July, the Bolbam tradition of taking a bath in Sundarijal near the source of the Vagmati River and taking pure water to the Pashupatinath temple has been going on.
For the last Monday of this year, the Bolbom Yatra has started under the organization of organizations such as Bolbom Kanaria Sangh and Sanatan Yuva Manch Nepal. The devotees had reached the Sundari Jal on Sunday night and were preparing to take water by performing daily activities including bathing.
According to Police Sub-Inspector Naveen Vikram Thapa, head of the office of Sundarijal police division, more than 10,000 devotees have attended the Bolbam Yatra this time.
