Kathmandu. The Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising has inspected various wards of Roshi Rural Municipality and Namobuddha Municipality of Kavrepalanchok which were damaged due to floods and landslides caused by incessant rains in October last year.

After the residents of the affected areas complained that roads, bridges, drinking water and health posts have not yet been rebuilt, Minister Ghising inspected the roads along with a team including the director general of the road department, the director general of the local infrastructure development department, and the head of the irrigation division.

During the inspection, Minister Ghising said that the work will be carried forward by giving priority to the reconstruction of the damaged structures brought by the Roshi river. He said that although the government's priority is to complete the elections, work is being done by allocating the budget for effective service delivery and restoration of the disaster-affected areas.

The incessant rains on the 10th, 11th and 12th of last year damaged the roads, narrow iron bridges and other infrastructure of Roshi Rural Municipality (1, 2 and 3 and Namobuddha Municipality-8 and 9).
