Killing a young man by hitting him with pliers in Pashupati, 2 people including 1 Indian arrested

Kathmandu. The police have arrested two people, including an Indian, on the charge of killing a young man in the Pashupatinath temple complex. 25-year-old Santosh Giri was found dead inside the second temple from the north side of the Pashupati-15 Shivalaya temple on the night of 6th February.

Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police of District Police Complex, Kathmandu, said that Saroj Tamang, 23 years old, who lives in Dolakha Vainteshwar Rural Municipality-2 and currently lives in Bhaktapur Thimi, and 48-year-old Neeraj Nath, who lives in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India, and now lives in Pashupati, Kathmandu, have been arrested on charges of murder.

During the further investigation of the incident, the deceased Santosh Giri was hit by scissors and other objects during an argument with the Baba group including Neerjanath.  Trivi Teaching Hospital Maharajganj has been kept for the autopsy of the deceased Santosh Giri. According to the police, further investigation is going on regarding the incident.
