Karnali government failed to spend the development budget, frozen 12.5 billion rupees

Surkhet. Due to the failure of the Karnali state government to spend the budget of the current financial year on time, the budget of more than 12.5 billion rupees has been frozen. According to the Karnali State Controller of Accounts Office, only 61.97 percent of the total allocated budget has been spent in the current financial year.

Out of the tota budget of 33 billion 1936 million 55 thousand rupees, only 20 billion 57 million 12 lakh eight thousand rupees have been used, while the remaining 12 billion 62 million rupees 24 lakh 46 thousand 622 rupees have been frozen in the government fund. Looking at the legislative situation of budget allocation and expenditure, it has been seen that relatively high expenditure on the current side and very weak expenditure on capital i.e. development.
