It will take a week for monsoon to arrive in Nepal
Kathmandu. It will take another week for monsoon to enter Nepal. According to Varun Poudel, senior meteorologist of the Department of Water and Meteorology, the monsoon has now arrived in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India and it will take a week for the monsoon to reach Nepal via the Bay of Bengal.
Meteorologist Paudel said, "It cannot be said with certainty that the monsoon will enter at this time. However, it is estimated that the monsoon will enter in about a week. It seems that the monsoon will reach the Bay of Bengal in three to four days, then when it comes to Nepal, it may be around a week or a few days earlier or even a few days later." According to him, sometimes if the monsoon is active quickly, it will enter early and if it is active late, it will come late.
In Nepal, the average date of onset of monsoon is 13th June. However, due to the average date set in India on June 1, the monsoon has entered with a little delay this year. That is why meteorologist Paudel informed that it is expected to enter Nepal a little later than the scheduled date.
