Iran's top security official Ali Larijani confirmed dead

Kathmandu. Iran's top security official Ali Larijani has been confirmed dead. Both Iran and Israel said that he was killed in an Israeli attack on Monday. Larijani was the head of the Supreme National Security Council, which was in charge of developing the country's security and strategy. The council issued a statement on Tuesday confirming his death.

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz claimed that Larijani was killed by an Israeli attack. Since the start of the war, the international news agency Reuters reported that high-ranking people have been killed in Iran after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. According to the council, Larijani's son and assistant Alireza Bayat were also killed in the attack on Monday night.
