Iran's objection to US role in Strait of Hormuz

Main News Image

Tehran. Iran has made it clear that American leadership or interference in the security system of the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz is not acceptable. Iran has reiterated its old stance that regional security should be ensured not by external military alliances but by the related countries of the same region.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, Kazem Garibabadi, has made public this opinion while severely criticizing the US-led regional security conference held in Bahrain recently.
