Iran turning problems into opportunities, making billions of dollars under the guise of war

Main News Image

Kathmandu. Iran has turned the war with the US and Israel into an opportunity. The U.S. targeted military bases near the island of Kharg Iran, but did not directly target an oil terminal for fear of a global oil crisis. Taking advantage of this, Iran has kept the Kharg terminal operational and continues to supply China through the "ghost fleet".

According to the International Energy Agency and S&P Global, Iran exports between 17 and 2 million barrels of oil per day. About 90 percent of the country's oil exports still go through the Kharg terminal. The attack on the South Pars gas field has affected exports, but gas supply has not been completely stopped. Reports indicate that Iran is also levying a "war tax" of $2 million per ship on foreign ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
