Investment of more than 21 billion in two semi-reservoir hydropower projects approved by the Board of Investment
Kathmandu. The 68th meeting of the Board of Investment held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Balendra Shah has decided to approve the investment of two semi-reservoir hydropower projects.
The meeting decided to approve the investment of Nar Khola semi-reservoir hydropower project of 58.9 megawatts worth 10 billion 750 million 497 thousand rupees and Sani Bheri 3 semi-reservoir hydropower project of 46.72 megawatts worth 10 billion 42 million 33 lakh 62 thousand rupees.
Similarly, the meeting also decided to facilitate the necessary facilitation for the Arun-3 Hydroelectric Project 900 MW to produce commercial production by February 2028 and to proceed with the construction immediately in accordance with the provisions of the Project Development Agreement regarding the Upper Karnali Hydroelectric Project 900 MW.
