International tourist arrivals in Nepal increased by 15.7 percent
Kathmandu. In January 2026, there has been an improvement in the arrival of international tourists in Nepal. The number of international visitors entering Nepal has reached 92 thousand 573, which is 15.7 percent more than in January 2025. According to the Tourism Board, this number is 14 percent higher than in January of 2019 before the Covid-19 epidemic.
Looking at the data for the first month of 2026, India is at the top in terms of tourist arrivals. In January, 26,624 tourists from India came to Nepal, which is 28.8 percent of the total arrivals.
