Interaction on 'Philosophy, Literature and Language' completed in Pokhara!

  • In collaboration with Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan and Gandaki Sahitya Sangam, Pokhara, there was an interaction on 'Marxist philosophy in the present context', 'Nepali progressive literary writing' trends and 'Linguistic situation of Gandaki province'.

      • The program was held in the presence of Vice Chancellor of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan Bimal Nibha. He said that writing progressive literature is the basic trend of social transformation. He also recited a poem saying that it is important for the next generation to understand the role of progressive literature in cultural transformation.

     Special guest Dr.Krishnaraj Adhikari, Member of the Academic Council of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan and Head of the Department of Philosophy, said that only Marxist literature and culture can build a developed society.

      •Special guest Pragya-Pratishta member of Pragya Council and Head of Mother Language Fund and Grammar Department Trailokyaman Banepali 'Agib' presenting a song in the program. 

He depicted the upliftment of language, literature and culture.

• Prof.Dr. Yadunandan Upadhyay presented a working paper entitled "Progressive Nepali Literary Writing Trends". Tej Vilas Adhikari, a teacher, poet and critic of Nepal Sanskrit University, made a critical comment on this. Lok Bahadur Thapa Magar, a former member secretary of the National Foundation for the Upliftment of Tribal Tribes and a scholar of Magar language literature, presented a working paper on the "Linguistic condition of Gandaki Province". Yamanath Timilsina made a critical comment.

    Trivika teacher and professor of philosophy Samir Singh presented a working paper titled 'Marxist philosophy in the present context'. Political analyst Savitri Dura commented on this.

      Prof. Dr. in the program. Gyan Bahadur Karki, Jhalakpani Tiwari, Vidyavimal Baral, Yadavraj Upadhyay, Parashuram Koirala, Chhabi Subedi presented supplementary comments on the working papers.  

     Gandaki Sahitya Sangam president Bhim Ranabhat presided over the program and the vice president Padmaraj Dhakal presented the welcome speech.
