India's biggest win over Pakistan in T20 World Cup
Colombo. India defeated Pakistan by 61 runs in T20 World Cup. This is India's biggest win over Pakistan in terms of runs in the history of the tournament. With this win, the Indian team has qualified for the Super 8. The team is at the top of the Group A points table with three consecutive wins.
Chasing a target of 176 runs, Pakistan were bowled out for 114 runs in 18 overs at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday night. Usman Khan scored the highest 44 runs. Jasprit Bumrah, Akshar Patel, Varun Chakraborty and Hardik Pandya took two wickets each for India.
After losing the toss and batting first, India scored 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 77 runs off 40 balls with 10 fours and three sixes. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 32 runs. Saim Ayub took three wickets.
India secured their third straight win in Group A. This win has ensured Team India's entry into the Super 8. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round.
India has 6 points from 3 matches. America is second, and Pakistan is third. Both have 4 points. Even if USA, Pakistan, Netherlands and Namibia win their last match, they will not be able to score more points than India.
