Kathmandu. Host India has won the T20 World Cup cricket title. India won the T20 World Cup for the third time after defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final match. Batting first in the final, India set a huge target of 256 runs. In reply, India became the champion with an easy win after New Zealand was reduced to 159 runs.

Earlier, India won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and 2024. With the latest victory, India has lifted the third title of the tournament. On the other hand, New Zealand has again been deprived of the title. Despite being known as a strong team, New Zealand has yet to win the T20 World Cup. Previously, New Zealand reached the finals in the 2021 T20 World Cup, but lost to Australia and had to stay away from the title.
