In the month of October, the interest rate of commercial banks decreased, which one gives how much?
Kathmandu. According to the interest rate published by the commercial banks for the month of October, it has been seen that the maximum average interest rate of deposits has decreased. In the month of October, the maximum average interest rate for individuals was 5.46 percent, while in the month of October, the maximum average interest rate for individuals decreased by 0.26 percent to 5.20 percent.
Similarly, in the month of October, the maximum average interest rate for institutions was 3.87 percent, while in the month of October, it decreased by 0.22 percent to 3.65 percent.
Out of the 20 commercial banks that are currently operating, 14 banks have reduced their deposit interest rates while 6 banks have kept them stable. On the other hand, 10 banks have reduced the interest rate while 9 banks have kept it constant.
For October, Machhapuchhre Bank and NMB Bank have reduced the interest rate the most i.e. by 1 percent, Nabil Bank by 0.55 percent, Prime Commercial Bank by 0.50 percent, Prabhu Bank by 0.40 percent and Citizen, Everest, Laxmi Sunrise and NIC Asia Bank by 0.25 percent each, Nepal SBI Bank and Standard Chartered Bank by 0.18 percent and Krishi and Sanima Bank has reduced the interest rate of personal deposits by 0.10 percent.
Global IME Bank, Himalayan Bank, Kumari Bank, Nepal Bank, Rashtriya Commercial Bank and Siddharth Bank have kept the interest rates unchanged in October as well.
