In order to maintain religious harmony in Birganj, all parties agree, no demonstration will be allowed without permission

Rautahat After the Dhanusha incident, an all-party meeting was held at District Administration Office Parsa on Tuesday to reduce the tension in Birganj. The meeting chaired by Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal took important decisions to maintain peace and security and social harmony.

The meeting decided to form a 'Permanent Harmony Mechanism' for a long-term solution and decided to make prior permission of the administration mandatory for processions, demonstrations and public events. Also, the administration said that individuals or groups who spread religious hatred and spread misleading information will be brought under the legal ambit.

Meanwhile, keeping in view the security situation, curfew in Birganj has been extended till 6 pm today.
