In Kailali, a lone woman's tempo was dropped by the forest staff
Dhangadhi. Tempo forest, which is the main source of livelihood of a single woman of Baspani, Godavari Municipality-4 of Kailali, has been thrown down from the hill by the staff of the office. This inhumane behavior by the staff of Division Forest Office, Dhangadhi in the name of removing 'forest encroachment' is now being widely criticized on social media and at the local level.
According to the aggrieved woman, Dhanadevi Dhami, she was taking care of her family by keeping a tempo on the roadside in the same area and running a small retail business. Forest office staff reached the spot during the encroachment removal campaign.
According to the eyewitnesses of the incident, the employees threw away the belongings of the woman's tempo and also pushed the tempo, which was her sole source of income, down the hill. Even though the locals protested against this act done in front of their eyes, the staff ignored it.
