Kathmandu. A total of 6,799 disaster incidents have occurred across the country from last May to mid-February. According to the National Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 464 people have died in disasters in 11 months. As a result of the disaster, 38 people went missing and 1,814 were injured.
It is mentioned in the details provided by the authority that 12 thousand 458 households were affected due to the disaster. According to the details of the authority, the highest number of fire incidents occurred during that period. 98 people lost their lives due to 3,339 fire incidents.
During that period, 318 floods, 590 landslides, 429 heavy rains, 367 lightnings, 592 snakebites, and 246 fires have occurred. Similarly, there were 292 cases of windstorm, 488 animal attacks, and 199 cases of lake invasion. Five avalanches, seven earthquakes, and two boat capsizing incidents have occurred. Similarly, from the morning of February 29th to the morning of the 30th, there were a total of 29 disaster incidents, according to the authority.
