Illegal goods worth 3.5 million seized in Rasuwa in 9 months

Rasuwa Illegal imported materials worth Rs 351 lakh 76 thousand 420 have been seized in Rasuwa from July to March of the current financial year. According to the Rasuwa Customs Office, as part of the revenue leakage control campaign, the goods of this value were seized by the joint operation of the Customs Office, District Police Office and the Armed Police Force.

According to the Information Officer of the Customs Office, Karveer Gaihre, during that period, the Customs Office conducted 15 raids, the District Police Office 19 and the Armed Police Force No. 20 Gulm 23 times at various locations.

Among the recovered items are chocolate, pickles, sauces used in chowmein, prepared clothes, roll cloth, coffee, children's toys, thermos, vape and cigarettes. According to the Customs Office, more than 80 percent of the recovered items are food items.
