House of Representatives Election 2082: List collection started, 134 names registered
Kathmandu. For the House of Representatives election 2082, the time for collecting the closed list of political parties towards the proportional election system has been fixed between Paush 13th and 14th. Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the spokesperson of the Commission, informed that a total of 134 persons were collected from three political parties in the collection of the closed list of political parties for the proportional election system which started today.
He said, "According to the pre-determined program of the Election Commission on the proportional side, the date of submission of the closed list has been fixed until 13th and 14th of Paush. Today, the closed list of 134 people from three political parties has been verified. Since today and tomorrow have been scheduled, we are ready to provide the service with the assumption that everyone will arrive by tomorrow.
The Election Commission has stated that all technical and administrative preparations have been completed according to the schedule. According to the commission, only the political parties registered today, Sunday and tomorrow, Monday, will be allowed to submit the closed list of candidates for proportional representation to the commission.
Commission spokesperson Bhattarai clarified that the entire process from submission of closed list to final publication will be completed within the deadline. The closed list submitted will be scrutinized from January 15 to 20. During the investigation, whether the inclusion criteria are fulfilled as per the law, the eligibility of the candidates and the composition of the list will be checked.
