House of Representatives Election 2082: 63 parties submitted their proportional closed list, Congress list remained

Kathmandu. Preparations for the House of Representatives election 2082 are intensifying. A significant presence of parties was seen in the Election Commission yesterday, the last day to submit the closed list of the proportional side for the election to be held on February 21. According to the approved program, the Election Commission had fixed the time for submitting the closed list on 13th and 14th of Paush. Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Commission, informed that the parties who attended the commission within the specified time were provided with no time limit.

The Commission has mobilized two teams to facilitate the proportionate closed list process. The first team checks whether the candidate is eligible or not, the name is in the voter's list and provides the Nissa.

According to the prevailing law, there is a provision to pay a bond of Rs 50,000 per party. After the closed list registration process is completed, the commission will start the process of verifying whether the proportional and inclusive criteria have been met according to the House of Representatives Election Act. If any error is found during that process, the concerned party will be instructed to correct it.
