Honoring the dutiful security personnel and social workers on the platform of Surakshakhabar

Kathmandu. Surakshakhabar.com, which is working as a bridge between peace and security and responsible journalism, has completed the first year of its journey. On the occasion of the first anniversary, the organization has expressed its gratitude by publicly honoring the security personnel and the stakeholders of various sectors of the society who are serving at risk in the security sector.

Commemorating the remarkable work done during one year, the Armed Police, Nepal Police and other security agencies, from officers to soldiers, who have done exemplary work, were honored with certificates of appreciation and medals. Ramjung Pandey, then Superintendent of Armed Police of Kapilvastu, Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Naresh Kumar Khadka, Deputy Inspector of Police Praveen DC of District Police Office Banke and Assistant Inspector of Police Naveen Kumar Shahi of Drug Control Bureau Nepalgunj were honored in the program.

The contribution of divers Mohan Bisht, Roshan KC and Prameshwar Tharu of Shamshergunj-based Armed Police Force who played an active role in water rescue and disaster management was also specially remembered. Senior Deputy Inspector of Traffic Police Nand Kumar Pokharel and Deputy Inspector of Police Rabindra Bahadur Bam were awarded for their effective work in traffic management.

Similarly, Police Assistant Inspector Laxman Adhikari and Assistant Constable Purna BC of Bardia and President of Pabson Banke Vikas Bajracharya have also been honored for their contribution in the field of education. The chief guest of the program, Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of Lumbini State Government Adesh Kumar Agarwal mentioned that peace and good governance in the society is possible due to the sacrifice and selfless service of the security personnel. He said that when the media exposes the positive work of the security agencies, the confidence of the citizens will be strengthened.

The program held at Sunakhari Restaurant in Nepalganj was attended by the state and district leaders of Federation of Nepal Journalists, heads of security agencies, journalists and stakeholders.
