Hearing on Hitendra's writ against Kulman today

Main News Image

Kathmandu. Hitendradev Shakya has approached the Supreme Court against the government's decision to remove him as the executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority. On Monday, he filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that he be reinstated as the executive director of the authority. Saying that he was appointed for four years and removed before the end of his tenure, Shakya demanded that the decision of the government should be overturned and he should continue in the authority.

Registering the writ, the Supreme Court has scheduled the hearing today. Recently, after the Jenji movement appointed Kulman Ghising as the power minister of the interim government, the government decided to transfer Hitendra to the power commission. Shakya was appointed for the second time under the executive directive of the Electricity Authority on 11th Chait 2081. In the year 2077, he was also the executive director of the authority.

The government has removed Shakya on October 5 and appointed Manoj Silwal, the former deputy executive director of the authority, as the executive director.
There have been rumors of Kulman being removed from Hitendra and Kulman being appointed to the authority by removing Hitendra.
