Grandson arrested for killing grandmother and stealing gold ornaments
Kaski. A 22-year-old youth in Kaski has been arrested on charges of murdering his grandmother. 75-year-old Dalkumari Pariyar of Pokhara Metropolitan City-31 Banspani was killed with a sharp weapon on the 3rd of this month. The police arrested 22-year-old Ashish Pariyar, the grandson of the deceased, from Pokhara-10 Buddhachowk on Friday on the charge that he was involved in the incident.
According to Hari Bahadur Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kaski, after the murder of the old woman, the jewelry worn in her ears was also robbed.
Police said that Ashish was arrested with that jewelry. According to the police, two rings of yellow color that look like gold, four small earrings of red color weighing 72, and an ax and a knife used in the incident were recovered from Ashish who was arrested.
Pranau Basnet informed that Ashish, accused of murder, has been extended seven days in the Kaski district court in the case of duty-related killing, and further investigation process has been carried forward.
