Govt making 'Senior Citizen Experience Bank'

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security has initiated the process of building a 'Senior Citizen Experience Bank' with the aim of preserving the knowledge, skills, experience and life lessons accumulated by senior citizens throughout their lives and passing them on to the new generation.

On the occasion of the 26th International Senior Citizens Day, the ministry has put forward the concept of establishing senior citizens not only as a group that needs care and protection, but as an important source of knowledge, skills and experience of the nation. According to the ministry, digital technology will also be used for the purpose of documenting the lifetime experiences of senior citizens and connecting them with future generations.
