Gone is the era of cash! Cardamom Award to Gold Cup Winner
Kathmandu. The winner of the second inter-club level invitational men's football tournament held in Taplejung has been given a prize of 131 kg 93 mana 11 kg cardamom instead of cash. In the final match on Thursday, Ganesh Chowk Club defeated Himali Tokpegola Youth Club by 1-0 and won this award.
According to Vijay Sanwa, the chairman of the organizer Phangfangden Jharna Tourism Development Committee, the winner Ganesh Chowk Club received a trophy, medal and certificate along with cardamom worth Rs 3 lakh two thousand 82 in cash. In Taplejung on Thursday, 40 kg of reward was given by weighing cardamom worth Rs 92,000. Similarly, the runner-up Tokpegola Youth Club was also awarded a trophy, medal and certificate along with 65 kg of cardamom worth Rs 150,082.
