Fuel supply from Tribhuvan Rajpath after the road was washed away in Krishnabhir
Kathmandu. After the road was blocked in the Krishnabhir section of Dhading under the Prithvi Highway, Nepal Oil Corporation is continuing to supply petroleum products and LP gas to Kathmandu Valley and surrounding areas through the alternative route Tribhuvan Rajpath 9 By Road 0.
On the 14th of August last, when the Prithvi highway collapsed due to the erosion of the Trishuli river, the tankers carrying fuel and gas bullets were stopped on the way. In order to prevent the shortage of fuel in the valley, the Corporation has started importing gas cylinders filled from Terai industries through Tribhuvan Rajpath.
According to the corporation, 24 thousand 500 gas cylinders were brought into the valley on August 18 and 34 thousand 134 on August 19. The industries have been instructed to continue the refilling and transportation of gas even on public holidays to keep the supply system smooth in the market.
Meanwhile, the Corporation is also providing aerial fuel and gas for the ongoing search and rescue operations after the damage that occurred in the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan due to the flood that occurred in Bhotekoshi River on 10th August.
