Former Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar's position is vacant
Kathmandu. The commission of inquiry formed to investigate the Genji movement has cleared the post of the outgoing Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar. Before that, the Commission took a statement from the writer at Singha Darbar on January 14th. Earlier, the posts of the Inspector General of Nepal Police, the then CDO of Kathmandu, the then Home Secretary and others related to the incident were released. The Commission has informed the relevant bodies including the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the decision to release the author's visit and location.
The commission decided to stop the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the then IGP Chandrakuber Khapung, the then Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, the then District Officer of Kathmandu Chabilal Rizal, the then head of the National Investigation Department Hutraj Thapa from traveling abroad, along with the author, for investigation and investigation of the incident of 23rd and 24th August.
In the decision of the Commission on October 12th, it was also said that they cannot even leave the valley without approval. Earlier, the visit of the former Home Secretary, former IGP and former Pragya of Kathmandu has already been cancelled.
