Former Finance Minister Pandey passed away
Kathmandu. The leader of civil movement and former finance minister Dr. Devendra Raj Pandey passed away. 87-year-old Pandey died on Friday night at his residence in Vishalnagar, Kathmandu.
Late Pandey will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today at 11 am. Pandey, who was diagnosed with cancer three months ago, was undergoing treatment at home. V.No. He was the finance minister in the interim government formed after the 2046 movement under the leadership of Congress acting president Krishna Prasad Bhattarai. Late Pandey was a proponent of good governance, democracy, development and responsible state system.
