Kathmandu. For the preparation of the annual budget and program for the coming financial year 083/84, the Ministry of Finance has formed a 'Budget Writing Committee' under the coordination of Chief Joint Secretary, Revenue Management Division, Uttar Kumar Khatri.
The government has formed this committee to prepare the draft of the budget statement to be submitted to the Federal Parliament by the Honorable Minister of Finance on the eve of budget formulation and to determine the principles and priorities of the budget. This committee has been given the responsibility of providing necessary suggestions for the annual policies and programs of the Government of Nepal for the coming financial year and facilitating the prioritization of various projects and programs to be implemented.
In addition, the main task of preparing the draft of principles and priorities of the appropriation bill to be submitted to both houses of the Federal Parliament and submitting the final draft of the budget statement is also assigned within the scope of this committee.
