Flow increased in Koshi, 20 doors were opened
Sunsari The flow of water in the Saptakoshi River has started to increase due to the rains in various districts of the Eastern Hills and Terai. Sunsari Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka informed that the flow of water in Koshi Barrage is 1 lakh 72 thousand 432 cusecs per second.
He informed that 20 of the 56 gates of the barrage including 52 mains and two canals have been opened in view of the possible risk due to the increase in water flow in the Koshi river. As the flow of water is increasing, a red light has been lit at the Kosi barrage as a sign of danger. According to the control room of Koshi barrage, the red flag has been hoisted as a signal of danger.
