Flood relief from the holding center in Nuwakot, the challenge of distribution in the area across the river

Nuwakot. The District Disaster Management Committee has started distributing relief materials to the citizens of Nuwakot affected by the Bhotekoshi flood through the holding center. Arrangements have been made to collect relief materials received from donors and various organizations in an integrated manner and send them to the affected areas on a need basis.

There are currently 13 holding centers operating in Nuwakot. Nine holding centers have been established in Vidur Municipality, two in Kispang Municipality and one each in Suryagarhi Municipality and Belkotgarhi Municipality.

According to the coordinator of the District Disaster Management Committee and Chief District Officer Shambhu Prasad Regmi, the committee is collecting relief materials provided by donors and interested individuals and organizations to distribute to the flood victims through a single-door system.
