Kathmandu. The Nepali national women's football team, which is going to India to play tri-nation international friendly football, has been bid farewell. All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bid farewell to the Nepali National Women's Football Team by organizing a program in Kathmandu on Tuesday. In the farewell program, the head coach of the Nepali National Women's Football Team, Naveen Neupane, expressed his belief that all the players will have a good victory as all the players worked hard even between Dashai and Tihar. He said that the players have prepared well during the three weeks of training.
He also said that the players who were outside the country returned to their country and participated in the training, so they became a good team. He mentioned that he has worked to prepare the format up to the 2026 SAFF Women's Championship. Similarly, Savitra Bhandari 'Samba', the captain of the Nepali National Women's Football Team, said that she is excited for the upcoming matches as there are mostly new players in the National Women's Football Team.
He said that the Nepali team will enter the field by improving the shortcomings seen in the previous game. According to ANFA, the Nepali team will play international friendly matches with Iran's national women's football team on October 7 and India's national women's football team on October 10 and 13.
