Farewell of election police will be held on Thursday

Kathmandu. The election police deployed in Kathmandu Valley for the House of Representatives election that was held on February 21 will be farewelled on Thursday. Inspector General of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki informed that 3 thousand 854 election police have been mobilized in Kathmandu, 1 thousand 93 in Bhaktapur and 1 thousand 596 in Lalitpur for the security of the election.

He said, "In order to maintain a peaceful environment in the valley throughout the election period, security arrangements were made in coordination between the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other security agencies." According to Inspector General Karki, the police assigned to the election performed their duties with responsibility.
