Fake Bhutanese refugee case Ex-minister Rayamazhi was jailed for four years and Khan for two years

Kathmandu. Kathmandu District Court has determined the punishment of the main accused and the accused in the much-discussed fake Bhutanese refugee case. The court sentenced the defendants including former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamazhi, former Home Minister Balkrishna Khan and former Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey.

According to the court's verdict, Top Bahadur Rayamazhi has been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment and a fine of 40 thousand rupees, while former Home Minister Balkrishna Khan has been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of 20 thousand rupees.

Similarly, the other main culprit in this case, former Home Secretary Teknarayan Pandey, has been sentenced to 4 years in prison and a fine of 40,000 rupees. Pandey has been sentenced to 2 years in prison with a fine of 20,000 for fraud, 3 years in prison with a fine of 30,000 for organized crime and one and a half years in prison with a fine of 15,000 for an offense against the state, and a total of 4 years in prison and a fine of 40,000.
