Addressing the program, the Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Dangol, announced that the night bus service will be extended in the valley from the upcoming Constitution Day, 9 August 30. She said that the night service of two routes, which was started in cooperation with four municipalities namely Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Chandragiri and Budhanilkanth, will now be operated on six routes.

In the first 90 days of testing, more than 67,000 passengers have taken the night service. Now we are expanding the night bus service on 6 routes including Bhaktapur, Suryavinayak and Godavari,” said Dangol.
