Even after 20 hours, the government could not rescue the missing citizens in Karnali: Gyanendra Shahi
Kathmandu. RPP MP Gyanendra Shahi has accused the government of not being serious about rescuing the citizens who went missing with their vehicles in Karnali.
He said that the government, which claimed to keep helicopters ready for disaster management and rescue, could not mobilize heliopters for rescue even after almost 20 hours had passed in the incident in Karnali.
Through social media, Shahi wrote, "The government, which gossips in parliament that it will keep helicopters for disaster management and rescue, has not been able to send a helicopter even after almost 20 hours have passed to rescue the citizens who went missing with their vehicles in Karnali."
Shahi mentionedthat there is no higher priority than the lives of citizens during a crisis and commented that the families of the victims are forced to stay awake all night hoping for the safe rescue of their relatives, but they have not yet felt the presence of the state.
