Encroachment of 300 bigha land of Sudurpaschim University

Kanchanpur. The 300 bigha land of Sudurpaschim University has been encroached upon. According to Hemraj Pant, Vice-Chancellor of Sudurpaschim University, 300 bighas of the 380 bighas of Tikapur Multiple Campus, the university's campus, have been encroached upon. In the year 2062, Tikapur Development Committee provided 380 bighas of land to the campus for establishing the campus, but the campus has been able to occupy only 80 bighas so far. Three hundred bighas of land has been encroached upon in the name of Muktakamaiyya and squatters.
Vice-Chancellor Pant lamented that although the university has repeatedly requested the federal and state governments to bring back the encroached land, there has been no response. Recently, the University Executive Council has decided to form a high-level inquiry commission to bring back the encroached land. Due to the patronage of various political parties, it has become a problem to remove those who have encroached on the university land.
