Election Code of Conduct – Children cannot be used in elections

Kathmandu. In the code of conduct decided for the election of members of the House of Representatives scheduled for February 21, the code of conduct has been decided so that the government and semi-government bodies are not allowed to do any activity against any party.

In the code of conduct decided by the Election Commission, it is stipulated that no resources and assets of any project can be used in favor or against any party or candidate. It shall not be allowed to do anything to interfere with the election management and voter education and other programs conducted by the Commission, or to spoil the materials or information related to the election, or to add to it or cause it to be done in any way.

According to the code of conduct, no government or semi-government agency or public institution or university or school or college may be used to conduct election-related gatherings or propaganda. It is stipulated that it is not allowed to produce, use, sell or display symbolic materials such as jackets, shirts, vests, t-shirts, hats or caps, towels, masks, lockets or any other type of clothing or stickers, logos, bags, badges, tattoos, marked with election symbols of political parties or candidates.

The code of ethics stipulates that political activities or propaganda should not be carried out on the property of a private organization or institutional property without the permission of the owner of the house or land. The code of conduct also provides that children cannot be used or used in election campaigning.
