Kathmandu. Education, Science and Technology Minister Mahaveer Pun has requested the local governments to give the minimum salary set by the government to the school staff and child teachers. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, he said that the Ministry of Education has sent the salaries for children's class teachers, school assistants and school assistants from the federal grant, and said that the remaining shortfall should not be reduced to the minimum wage set by the Nepal government, and the local government should add it.
He wrote, "Ministry of Education will pay Rs. 12,000 for child class teachers, Rs. 10,000 for school assistants and Rs. 10,000 for school assistants." 15,000 salary has been sent from the federal grant. The remaining amount should be added by the local government so that it does not fall below the minimum wage set by the Nepal government. So far, the Ministry has received information that approximately 700 local governments have paid salaries according to the minimum wage. I would like to inform you that this matter is the responsibility of the local governments who have not given the minimum wage. Please don't do injustice to children's teachers and staff. Have the trade union leaders woke up on this issue?
