Demands ranging from the formation of an all-party mechanism to the implementation of 'EV Safety Education'
Kathmandu. In the meeting of the House of Representatives held on Wednesday, the parliamentarians demanded that an all-party committee should be formed immediately to make the search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation after the devastatng flood in the Bhotekoshi river efficient and effective.
Participating in today's emergency meeting of the House of Representatives, the MPs drew the attention of the government to pay special attention to road safety and make the experience and maturity of drivers indispensable for post-disaster rescue as well as safe transport management in the country.
Speaking at the meeting, MP Arjunnar Singh KC said that the government should be serious in making the search and rescue operations after the Bhotekoshi flood more rapid and effective and in carrying out the relief and rehabilitation works.
He informed that his party is supporting the government as much as possible at this time of crisis and emphasized that it is essential to form an all-party committee from the parliament for transparent, effective relief and rescue in the disaster.
