Gurkha. Due to the delay in the collection of ballot boxes due to bad weather, the counting of votes in Gorkha Constituency No. 1 has not yet started. Counting work has been stopped because the ballot boxes of 16 polling stations in the remote areas of North Gorkha could not be brought.
Due to bad weather on Friday, helicopter flights were not possible in those areas. There is an obligation to rely on helicopters to transport ballot boxes from Chumanubri and other areas that are geographically difficult and do not have access to road networks.
Efforts are being made to bring the remaining ballot boxes to the headquarters by helicopter since Saturday morning and after the arrival of all the ballot boxes, an all-party meeting will be held and the counting will begin, according to the election officer's office.
