Decision of Mayors Forum to make cycle lane from Budhanilkanth to Godavari

Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley Mayors Forum has decided to build a cycle lane from Budhanilkanth to Godavari. Chairman of Mayors Forum and Mayor of Lalitpur Maharaja Chiribabu Maharjanay said that it has been decided to build a bicycle lane connecting inter-municipalities to make the valley a smart city. Maharjan informed that a 'route' has been fixed from Shivpuri hill in Budhanilkanth to Botanical Garden of Godavari via Kathmandu and Lalitpur metropolis. 

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Mayor's Forum Chairman Maharjan said that it has been decided to prepare a master plan to advance it as a 'Socace Project'. He said that after the success of this project, it will be extended to other municipalities as well, requesting the government to immediately create a law on bicycle lanes.
