Courtesy call by the Finance Minister to the President of Singapore

Kathmandu. While attending the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal, who is in Washington D.C., USA, had a courtesy meeting with His Excellency the President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam on 1st Kartik 2082. In that meeting, President Tharman suggested to the finance minister to focus investment on human capital, infrastructure, energy, trade and openness for rapid economic development of the country.

Finance Minister Khanal said that the government of Nepal is working with the goal of maintaining good governance according to the wishes of the youth and focusing on economic development.
Finance Minister Khanal also interacted with the officials including the Vice President of the International Finance Corporation today.  On that occasion, he thanked the International Finance Corporation for increasing investment in Nepal.
