Corruption case against Congress leader Chalise

Kathmandu. A case of corruption and money laundering has been registered against Santosh Chalise, the leader of the Nepali Congress and member of the disbanded House of Representatives. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a case against Chalise in a special court on Sunday. The authority has filed a corruption case against him in a special court with a fine of Rs 368 lakh 47 thousand 461 and demanding a fine, confiscation of undisclosed assets and imprisonment.

He is the former mayor of Gokarneshwar municipality and elected from Kathmandu-3 in the 2079 House of Representatives election.
